                  IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Residents,

You may be aware of a recent announcement by Recycle BC whereby all milk and plant-based beverage containers (soy, almond, oat, etc.) will, as of February 1, 2022, have a 10-cent deposit refund.

How will things change at BIRD?

Beginning Thursday, February 3 there will be 2 collection bags available inside BIRD to recycle your containers. One will be for milk and plant-based beverage containers. A second bin will be for non-refundable containers, such as soups, broths, sugar, egg whites, etc.

Any funds raised will be part of the Recyclable Program.

BIRD staff look forward to answering any questions you may have.

Thank you!
